Suit No. ID/1711/2009: Sir John Dozie Maduike & ORS v. Auto Spare Parts AND Machinery Dealers Association & ORS.
One of the defendants was a tenant to our client; Sir. John Maduike in respect of a shop in Lagos who later challenged our clients’ title to the shop with forged documents. GBC Law attempted resolving the matter amicably without success. The team eventually filed a suit claiming amongst others, a declaration of title and possession in favour of our client.
We assembled documentary and oral evidence and presented cogent legal argument on behalf of Sir Maduike before the court. The defendants eventually contradicted their case before the court thereby dealing a blow to any chances of success in the suit.
Our clients’ suit succeeded in court. Title and possession of the property in dispute were restored. Damages were also awarded.
