Yetunde is a Partner at Gbenga Biobaku & Co. and is responsible for the oversight of the litigation and arbitration practice. Yetunde has competencies in commercial litigation, corporate law, commercial contract, banking and finance, property and conveyance matters.

Prior to joining Gbenga Biobaku & Co., Yetunde was a Senior Associate with the Law Firm of Adebo-Kiencke & Co. Whilst at Adebo-Kiencke & Co.; Yetunde handled a variety of legal matters on diverse areas for various multinational companies including Ferrostaal Nigeria Limited, DSD Nigeria Limited, ABB Limited, SDEM Nigeria Limited and Prodimpex Limited.

She also conducted several litigation matters on behalf of these companies. Yetunde also provides support to the corporate/commercial group. She has considerable experience in the preparation and drafting of various commercial contracts. In particular, she has extensive experience in the negotiation and drafting of technical services agreements, joint venture agreements, employment contracts, guarantees and indemnities. Prior to joining Adebo-Kieneke & Co., Yetunde worked in the legal departments of the Nigerian-American Merchant Bank Limited and Nigerian Merchant Bank Plc.

Yetunde graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University where she obtained her LLB in 1990, Yetunde was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991 and she is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

• Advising on and assisting with the documentation of the Joint Venture between Ferrostaal, AG Germany and Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited.

• Advising DWC Drilling on a number of drilling contracts with operators in the Nigerian oil and gas Industry and assisting with the negotiations.
  
  
• Advising TABA Nigeria Limited in respect of an Engineering Procurement and Construction (“EPC”) contract with NNPC relating to a power plant and advising and assisting with the structuring and documentation of the various subcontracting and the financing arrangements.

• Advising Skye Bank Plc in respect of a USD75million syndicated petroleum products receivables pre-financing facility.

• Advising and assisting Parker Drilling in the negotiation and documentation of various support services agreements relating to drilling operations in Nigeria.
  
  
• Advising and assisting Parker Drilling in the processing of various regulatory approvals and permits relating to drilling operations in Nigeria.
  
  
• Advising Statoil in respect of several Production Sharing Contracts with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), and participating in the negotiation.

• Advising an international oil company in its bid for an oil block in the Nigeria/Sao Tome and Principe JDZ 2003 Licensing Round and conducting a detailed analysis of the Treaty and the petroleum, fiscal and contractual regime.

• Advising and assisting a private developer on the Concession Agreement with the Lagos State Government relating to the redevelopment of the Balogun Square Market in the Central Business District of Lagos.

• Advising and assisting a private investor in connection with a joint venture arrangement with the Government of Ondo State of Nigeria, involving the privatization of the Ondo State Afforestation Project which was initially funded by the African Development Bank.

• Advising and assisting Consolidated Petroleum PTY, a South African Company on the farm-in arrangements into a marginal field including the drafting and review of the transaction documents including the Purchase Agreement, Farm-in Agreement, Joint Operating Agreement and the Deed of Assignment.

• Advising Hudson Petroleum in connection with its bid for an oil block in the 2005 Licensing Round and assisting with the drafting and negotiation of the preliminary agreements including MOUs and Heads of Agreement.

• Advising Sonatrach, the Algerian state oil company in connection with its bid for an oil block in the 2005 Licensing Round and providing advice on the bidding regulations as well as detailed analysis of the petroleum, fiscal and contractual regime.

• Advising Baker Hughes on all legal aspects of the construction and development of a major facility in Port Harcourt from negotiation of the long lease for the property to negotiating and rendering advise on the construction contract, advising on Town Planning regulatory issues as well as Environmental issues, and undertaking the registration and perfection of the long lease.

• Advising on and assisting with the incorporation of Alstom Limited, the local representative office of Alstom Holdings France.

• Advising and assisting operators and contractors on a variety of employment and labour issues in connection with oil and gas operations.
  
  
• Analysing and providing legal opinions in respect of tax issues and fiscal matters relating to oil and gas projects and petroleum operations.

• In collaboration with Nextzon, conducted legal due diligence for Oceanic Bank Plc in relation to the acquisition of a bank in Ghana.

• Advising Skye Bank Plc in connection with the negotiation of a trade finance facility from African Export – Import Bank (“Afrexim”).

• Advising and assisting a private investor in connection with the acquisition of Iwopin Pulp and Paper Company from the Bureau of Public Enterprises (“BPE”) / Federal Government of Nigeria.

• Advising and documenting various syndicated facilities relating to Peugeot Automobile Nigeria, Intel Oil Services, G.Cappa, International Distillers, Victoria Garden Hotels and several other leading companies.

• Advising a multi-national oil company and providing comprehensive legal opinion on the legal effect and application of blind trust in Nigeria.

• Advising and assisting a multi-national company in respect of a tax dispute with the Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue.
