Aaron focuses on the energy and infrastructure practice of the firm especially in gas to power projects. He also participates keenly in IP and e-commerce aspects. He demonstrates remarkable competencies in project finance, regulatory and compliance, general corporate/commercial practice.
Before joining Gbenga Biobaku & Co., Aaron was with PAC Solicitors, where he was involved in the Legal Support Services for the Implementation of the front-end segment of the Nigeria National Identity Management Project under Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC). He also had extensive litigation practice in the law firm of Chief Ladi Rotimi-Williams (SAN) Chambers.
Aaron holds a Bachelor in Laws Degree from the University of Jos and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007. He participated in the 2010 General Course on Intellectual Property administered by the WIPO Worldwide Academy, Geneva, Switzerland
Some key transactions in which Aaron had been involved include (taking into account matters handled prior to joining the firm):
- Structuring and documentation towards the Implementation of the front-end segment of the Nigeria National Identity Management Project under Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
- Representing a client in litigation involving government revocation of grant in a 30 year concession for a multi-million Naira turnkey multi-purpose complex.
- Structuring and documentation for towards management buy-in into Bankers Warehouse Limited, one of the only two companies approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as cash-in-transit companies in Nigeria, on behalf of African Capital Alliance.
- Analysing and providing legal opinions in respect of tax issues and fiscal matters relating to oil and gas projects and petroleum operations.
- Participating in advising and providing legal opinion towards passing a budget system law for Lagos State.
